The Papakura Soccer Club was formed in 1959. The Club teams participate in all competitions within the Auckland region. In 1998 the club became the biggest club in Counties and saw the first all girls team to play in the local competition. There is much historical information being gathered about the club and will be published in due course. The Club has seen a steady increase in junior and youth membership. In 1994 there were only 14 junior teams. The year 2002 saw 580 junior and youth players registered with 62 teams playing. In 2004 we had a wide range of players, with almost 700 registered players in junior and youth, with several all girl teams also playing. The club also has a close association with local schools, with both Alfriston School and Kelvin Road School, playing for the Papakura Soccer Club.
